These days, being obsessed with something has a bad rap. Not anymore.

When you have big goals, big dreams, and a vision worth pursuing, you’re going to have to get obsessed to accomplish it. When you’re obsessively chasing your goals, life will become temporarily out of balance.

Have a conversation with your family and the people closest to you about your dreams and goals. Let them know that your time and efforts over the next couple of weeks and/or months is going to be poured into completing your project, and you won’t be as readily available. If they love and support you they’ll be there waiting for you when you hit your mark.

Find A Strategy That Works For You

One of the only facts you can consistently rely on related to weight loss is that you have to burn more calories than you take in to lose weight. Whatever plan or strategy you use to lose weight should fit your lifestyle and personality. I have never taught a one-size-fits-all mentality related to achieving anything in life. You have use the right strategy at the right time—that fits your life. This is the pathway to achieving your long term goals.

Stay Humble

I believe the majority of folks are good people and have good intentions. When we work extremely hard to achieve a goal—and finally hit the mark—the natural tendency is to ease up, let loose and forget about how many hours of dedication and focus it took to achieve our goal. One of my mentors, Jesse Itzler shared a impactful insight with me: “remember tomorrow.” This is a powerful reminder to think about the choices we make today and how they’re going to impact us tomorrow.

Stay humble after you’ve achieved your goals. Remember tomorrow and you’ll stay focused on making the right choices today.
